Hauptwerk IX v9.0.1.019 Released!

Milan Digital Audio (MDA) today announced the release of Hauptwerk IX v9.0.1.019, a minor update to its Hauptwerk VPO software.

Changes in version 9.0.1 above version 9.0.0:

  • A new “View | Touch menu customization” sub-tab has been introduced, providing various options for customizing the content displayed on the “Overview” tab. Additionally, this feature enables the inclusion of more control options on the “Overview” tab compared to previous versions.
  • Additionally, the “View | Touch menu customization” sub-tab offers a new option called “Hide superfluous touch menu tab bars if control panel visible,” which defaults to “off.” When the “View: show/hide touch menu tabs” control panel is visible, this option hides touch menu tab bars that are duplicated by the control panel’s buttons, thereby optimizing screen space.
  • The touch menu zoom values of 60%, 67%, 75%, and 80% have been added to the previously available 100-200% values.
  • Two new options have been added to the touch menu’s “View” tab, allowing users to automatically open or close the touch menu upon launching or unloading an organ. Additionally, users can specify whether the touch menu should remain open, closed, or remain unchanged during organ loading.
  • Master coupler control panels are now available even if the current organ does not include their divisions. This allows for the continued use of the control panels even if storing control panel positions globally (as opposed to per-organ).
  • To ensure optimal compatibility with a recently released sample set, when memory is configured to be reserved in increments (as is the default setting in v8 and later versions), exceptionally large samples (exceeding the memory chunk size) will no longer generate error message 839. Additionally, on computers with less than 4 GB of physical RAM, certain chunk sizes have been adjusted to minimise fragmentation, which may result in a slight variation in the RAM requirements of organs on these systems.
  • In addition, a few rare bugs have been fixed.

The Hauptwerk Release Notice, which is also accessible within the Hauptwerk Virtual Pipe Organ/Documentation folder, provides a detailed description of all newly introduced features and resolved bugs. In addition, the Hauptwerk website offers a comprehensive overview of these newly introduced features, accompanied by illustrative screenshots.

The installers for Windows and macOS can be downloaded from the Hauptwerk website.
